Limestone Springs Golf Club is an 18-hole championship course located 30 minutes north of Birmingham, Alabama, nestled across 225 acres in the Appalachian Mountains. Designed by former U.S. Open winner Jerry Pate, the course stretches nearly 7,000 yards from the back tees and is recognized as one of Alabama's premier public golf courses.
The course is characterized by dramatic elevation changes and picturesque mountain views throughout the layout. These challenging topographical features create a difficult but visually striking playing experience unique to the region.
Limestone Springs has earned consistent recognition from major golf publications, including a 4½-star rating from Golf Digest's Places to Play, rankings in the top five public courses in Alabama by GolfWeek, and inclusion in America's Top Golf Courses by Zagat Survey. The course was also named among the Top 10 Best Courses in the State by Golfweek in April 2017, affirming its status among Alabama's most respected championship layouts.
