Wheatley Hills Golf Club was incorporated in 1913 on the old Titus farm in East Williston, NY, with founding members commissioning renowned golf course architect Devereux Emmet to design and build an 18-hole golf links. The course measures 6,822 yards with a par of 72, featuring a course rating of 73.2 and slope rating of 133. The layout includes 5 par 3's and 5 par 5's. The 110-acre property is located within East Williston and Roslyn Heights in Nassau County. The Titus homestead was converted into the clubhouse.
The fairways are tree-lined and tight, with small and fast greens. The course features surprising elevation changes and a nice variety of par 3's in length and elevation. Devereaux Emmet designed the first nine holes in 1913, with the second nine opening the next season; in 1931, Emmet made significant changes including adding five holes in place of some lost during Northern State Parkway construction.
Competitive golf events and tournament-quality playing conditions are Wheatley hallmarks, and through over 100 years of member stewardship, the club has come to represent a legacy of great golf, camaraderie and sporting tradition. The club is private and member-owned, with facility use exclusive to members and their invited guests.
