West Orange Country Club is an 18-hole golf course located in Winter Garden, Florida, designed by Lloyd Clifton and established in 1967. The par 71 course features a tree-lined layout with several small ponds and a meandering creek running through the property. The greens were rebuilt in 2006 with Tift dwarf grass, offering smooth, undulating surfaces that challenge skilled players. The course is known for its challenging design and scenic landscape typical of central Florida.
The club has hosted numerous tournaments throughout its history, including the West Orange Invitational held each November, which attracts top amateur golfers from the Central Florida region. The course has also been home to professional mini-tour events, including the Hooters Tour and Suncoast Ladies Series. As a private country club founded by West Orange citrus families, it maintains a traditional, relaxed atmosphere and operates seven days a week for members. The facility combines golf with tennis and swimming amenities, serving as a community hub for local families.
