Viborg Golfklub is an 18-hole championship course with an additional 9-hole Pay & Play course located in varying terrain. The main course features 27 holes across different layouts, designed by three notable architects: Jan Sederholm, Frederik Dreyer, and Michael Traasdahl Møller. The most recent nine holes (red loop) and several modifications to the original eighteen were designed by Møller.
The course operates a combination system with winter and summer greens, offering flexibility for year-round play in Denmark's climate. A dedicated 9-hole Pay & Play layout is open to non-members, making the facility accessible to casual golfers. The club maintains comprehensive course management practices including fairway maintenance, green care, and bunker upkeep.
The club hosts various tournaments including regional competitions and weekly evening golf events. It accommodates players of all levels, from beginners to elite competitors, with structured training programs and junior divisions. The facility includes a golf café and simulator golf options, supporting both competitive and recreational play in a well-maintained setting with public footpaths integrated into the course design.
