Varbergs Golfklubb Västra

Varbergs Golfklubb operates two distinct courses: Västra and Östra. Västra Banan is characterized by large greens set within heathland terrain, presenting a significant challenge in windy conditions where maintaining consistency and scoring well demands careful course management. The course is located adjacent to the E6 highway near Tvååker.

Östra Banan is a forest and parkland course situated beside the scenic Grimsjön lake near Grimeton, offering a different character with small, undulating greens and narrow tee areas in places. This layout is described as welcoming for family play. Both courses are designed to offer complementary golfing experiences within the same club, with distinct strategic challenges.

The club emphasizes its positioning as offering two of the region's finest courses with contrasting designs. Varbergs Golfklubb provides accommodation directly adjacent to both courses, including hotel facilities and motorhome pitches. The facility includes driving ranges, golf carts, dining options, and training programs. The club has a notable history, celebrating 75 years, and hosts various competitions including the Varbergsveckan tournament.
