Valley Golf Club is a 9-hole public course located in the Burns/Hines area of Oregon, just off Highway 22. Designed by Shelby McCool and built in 1939, it was extended to nine holes by 1951. The course features a classic pasture layout built within a square space with basically flat terrain, undulating fairways, and mounded greens with multiple grass types. It plays to 3,190 yards from the white tees with a par of 36 (38 with dual tees).
The course is known for its compact, walkable design and family-friendly atmosphere. A notable feature is the severe dogleg right par-5 fifth hole, which requires precise positioning to avoid trees and navigate an elevated, undulating green. Fairways and greens have undergone significant improvements between the mid-2010s and mid-2020s. The course serves as the host facility for the combined Burns/Crane High School golf teams and has recently expanded its role as a community meeting space with an improved clubhouse and full-service restaurant. While relatively easy to walk, mosquitoes can be an issue during summer months.
