Iceland
Urriðavöllur is a 9-hole, par-71 heathland course located in the Urridavatnsdalir valley, flanked by lava fields from the dormant volcano Búrfell. The championship layout measures 5,859 meters (6,407 yards) and officially opened in 1997. The terrain is characterized by its natural surroundings, featuring nesting moor birds and the rugged landscape typical of the region. The course has quickly established itself as one of Iceland's premier venues, serving as a regular stop on the Icelandic Tour. Its competitive nature was highlighted when it hosted the European Ladies Amateur Team Championship in 2016 and the European Girls Team Championship in 2022. The layout is designed to challenge players with its heathland conditions and natural obstacles. The facility is managed by the Oddur Golfclub, which maintains the course as a distinct 9-hole experience separate from any other layouts the club may operate.
