Located in Iwata City, Shizuoka Prefecture, Toyooka Kokusai Country Club offers a distinct playing environment characterized by a marine-influenced warm climate and views of the Suruga Bay. The facility is divided into three separate courses, allowing for varied 18-hole combinations. The primary layout consists of the Shishigahana Course, comprising holes 1 through 9, and the Fudo Course, covering holes 10 through 18. A third option, the Iwamuro Course, consists of a unique 9-hole layout that is played twice to complete an 18-hole round. The Shishigahana Course presents a total yardage of 3,245 yards from the championship tees for its nine holes, set at a par of 36. The layout features a mix of uphill and downhill lies, with the second hole requiring a carry over a valley to a green protected by deep bunkers. The seventh hole offers a long 513-yard challenge from the championship tees, while the eighth hole is a demanding 132-yard par-3 that plays downhill over a 100-yard valley. The fairways are generally wide, encouraging aggressive play, though the ninth hole doglegs left, requiring precise tee shots to avoid trouble. The Fudo Course, playing holes 10 through 18, is described as having wider fairways and longer distances, totaling 3,461 yards from the championship tees for a par 36. This nine-hole stretch includes the course's longest hole, the 17th, which measures 594 yards from the championship tees and is designed for a drive and approach strategy. The 13th hole features a raised, platform-style green that complicates approach shots, while the 16th hole is guarded by deep bunkers. The 18th hole finishes with a 432-yard par-4 that plays to a receptive green, warning players against slicing the ball. The Iwamuro Course provides a different challenge with a par of 35 and a championship yardage of 2,904 yards. This layout is played via monorail carts in a self-play format. The course features several two-tiered greens, notably on the first and fourth holes, which require careful club selection and distance control. The fourth hole is a 404-yard par-4 that carries over a valley, while the eighth hole is a 368-yard par-4 with a narrow landing area and right-side out-of-bounds. The ninth hole plays downhill from an elevated tee, often deceiving players regarding the true distance to the green.
