Towneley Golf Club

Towneley Golf Club is an 18-hole municipal course located in Burnley, established in 1932. The original 9-hole layout was designed by renowned architect James Braid in 1930, with a front nine holes added in 1967 to create the full 18-hole course.

The course features mature trees throughout, complemented by strategically placed ponds, streams, and ditches that add to its challenge and aesthetic appeal. Set within a pleasant landscape, the course provides an excellent test of golf suitable for players of varying abilities.

The club maintains high standards of facilities, including a welcoming clubhouse with dining options at Bistro 197. Towneley is an active competition venue with regular tournaments and offers golf instruction through the pro shop at The Prairie Sports Village.
