Situated on 121 acres, the course is an 18-hole, par 70 championship golf course featuring narrow fairways, water holes, sand and grass bunkers, as well as a putting green. Designed by Thomas Fazio, the course opened in 1989. Located on Long Island's coveted Gold Coast in Woodbury, the course is situated on a former estate setting. A turn-of-the-century mansion serves as the Mansion at Oyster Bay Catering facility and Clubhouse Grille.

The course features 6,351 yards from the longest tees with a course rating of 71.5 and a slope rating of 131. The course is characterized by meticulously manicured greens complete with cascading waterfalls, narrow fairways, and water holes. A "Halfway House" located on the 8th tee provides golfers with restroom facilities and a snack bar.

The course underwent a $5 million upgrade including new tee boxes on all 18 holes along with a new irrigation system. The facility is open to Town of Oyster Bay residents and also features the Lucas Golf Center with a driving range and pro shop.
