Established in 1923, Timuquana Country Club is recognized as one of Florida's premier private country clubs located in Jacksonville. The golf course, originally designed by renowned architect Donald Ross, serves as the club's centerpiece and has been refined by four of the nation's greatest architects: Robert Trent Jones, David Gordon, Bobby Weed, and Bruce Hepner. Today, it ranks as the area's most respected course.
The course is set on the St. Johns River, with the historic clubhouse designed by architect Clyde Harris to maximize river and golf course views. The southern-style architecture was completed in 1958.
Timuquana has hosted numerous prestigious golf championships, including the 2002 USGA Senior Amateur, 2019 USGA Women's Amateur Four-Ball, various US Open Qualifiers, the Florida Open, and the Annual Constellation Furyk & Friends PGA TOUR Champions event held each October.
The club facilities extend beyond golf, featuring seven clay tennis courts, four clay pickleball courts, a resort-style heated lap pool with beach entry, formal and casual dining options, a fitness center with spa services, and a floating dock on the river.
