The Tradition Golf Club

The Tradition Golf Club is an 18-hole championship course located in Northeast Charlotte, North Carolina, near the University Research Park and I-485 Beltway. Designed by John Cassell, II, and opened in 1996, this par 72 course features a par 72 layout with 7,000+ yards across a tree-lined design carved from natural tall pines and rolling terrain.

The course emphasizes strategic shot-making, with winding Bermudagrass fairways and greens surrounded by mature trees. The layout includes three dogleg holes and straight-away holes, with undulating greens on several holes and primarily flat surfaces on others. Eleven water hazards—lakes and streams—come into play throughout the round, adding to the challenge.

Recently upgraded with new Ultradwarf Bermudagrass greens, The Tradition maintains a private feel while remaining accessible to public play. The course is recognized for its pristine conditions and challenging layout. Amenities include a state-of-the-art Toptracer Range with 15 covered bays equipped with real-time shot tracking technology, plus an on-site Pub & Grill. The course hosts corporate outings and events and is managed by Pinnacle Golf Properties as part of the Charlotte Golf portfolio.
