The Tanjong is an 18-hole golf course located on Sentosa Island in Singapore, set against the Singapore Straits with views of metropolitan Singapore, the Southern Islands, and Marina Bay Sands. The course features a par layout with holes ranging from par-3s to par-5s, designed with inspiration from iconic sand belt golfing experiences.

A defining characteristic of The Tanjong is its dramatic bunkering—large bunkers rarely seen in Asia, styled after those designed by Alister MacKenzie. The course presents significant strategic challenges through its layout, which incorporates multiple water hazards including creeks, lakes, and island greens. Notable holes include the short par-3 fourth hole, elevated with panoramic views of Singapore's skyline, and the par-5 fifth hole featuring an almost-full island green jutting into a winding lake.

The course is highly challenging, featuring undulating fairways, deceiving green complexes with false fronts and inverted designs, and narrow fairways bordered by water and dense forestry. Signature elements include MacKenzie-styled bunkers, waterfall backdrops, elevated tee boxes, and strategic bunkering that demands accurate shot-making. The terrain utilizes Zorro Zoysia grass and incorporates significant elevation changes throughout the back nine.
