The Serapong is a Par-72 championship course stretching 6,765 metres from the championship tees at Sentosa Golf Club in Singapore. Ranked within Golf Digest's Top 100 World's Greatest Golf Courses, it has hosted the Singapore Open since 2005. The course features 18 holes with distinctive characteristics reflecting its island location.
Set against the Singapore skyline and overlooking one of the world's busiest ports, The Serapong presents significant strategic challenges. Water hazards, including tidal lagoons and sea channels, feature prominently throughout the layout. Hole 5, the signature hole, offers panoramic views of the Singapore skyline and port. Other notable holes include Hole 6 with its distinctive "Dragon's tooth" rock formation, Hole 14 flanked by harbour waters, and Hole 15, an intimidating par four with the sea channel running the entire left side.
The course demands accurate shot-making with well-placed bunkers throughout and elevated landing areas that increase difficulty. The layout presents opportunities for both professionals and amateur players, though it maintains championship-level difficulty. The design incorporates natural landscape features, jungle areas, and coastal elements that enhance both playability and aesthetic appeal. The closing hole, a dogleg left par five with a lake dominating the left side, provides a dramatic finishing hole suitable for tournament play.
