The River Club

River Club is a Tom Jackson Signature Course located in Pawleys Island, South Carolina, designed and opened in 1985. Built on a former rice plantation, the course features 18 holes at par 72 with a length of approximately 6,700 yards. The layout showcases the distinctive Lowcountry landscape, characterized by meandering waterways, native vegetation, and marsh views that define South Carolina's coastal terrain.

Water hazards significantly influence play, coming into action on 15 of the 18 holes. Despite this challenge, the design balances difficulty with fairness, offering a mix of precision-driven par 4s and bold shot-making opportunities. Notable signature holes include the island green par-3 14th and the dramatic par-5 18th, which features a large pond guarding the approach and presents a risk-reward finishing hole that has become one of the Myrtle Beach area's most recognizable features.

The course is a member of the Hammock Coast Golf Trail and has earned a 4.5-star rating from Golf Digest's "Places to Play." River Club delivers a rewarding blend of strategic play and scenic beauty, complemented by Jackson's View Neighborhood Grill for post-round dining.
