The Mashie Golf Course

The Mashie Golf Course, formerly known as Creek 9, is a 9-hole par-3 course located in Johannesburg beside Roosevelt Park Recreation Centre. The course features holes ranging from under 90 meters to just over 200 meters, offering a well-designed layout suitable for golfers of all skill levels and ages.

Set within a beautifully treed and tranquil environment, The Mashie combines challenge with accessibility for both seasoned golfers refining their short game and beginners seeking an enjoyable introduction to golf. The course is characterized by smooth greens with gentle slopes, creating a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere.

Notable features include scenic fairways designed to balance challenge and beauty with lush greenery, along with the signature 4th hole—a unique design that tests precision and skill amid stunning natural scenery. Each green presents distinct challenges, ensuring varied play throughout the round.

The course operates on a walk-up, pitch-and-play basis seven days a week with no advance booking required on weekdays. Recently under new ownership, The Mashie has introduced FootGolf alongside traditional golf, expanding its recreational offerings to the community.
