The Legends Golf Course at Parris Island in Beaufort, South Carolina is a par-72 layout that winds through salt marsh wetlands and deep-water creeks. Originally designed by Fred Findley in 1947, the course was completely renovated and relocated between 1996 and 2000 due to its location within the Santa Elena archaeology site. Architect Clyde Johnson redesigned the course, relocating three original holes to areas free of artifacts. The $4.5 million renovation was completed in 1999, with play resuming in 2000.

The course features challenging terrain characterized by its natural lowcountry landscape, with salt marshes and creeks defining the playing experience. The Legends has earned recognition as one of the premier courses in the Lowcountry and ranks among the top military courses in the world. The course operates as a public facility and offers PGA instruction, daily play, golf leagues, tournaments, and instructional programs for players of all skill levels, from beginners to experienced golfers.
