Lakes Resort Pauanui is an 18-hole championship golf course located in Pauanui on the Coromandel Peninsula, approximately 90 minutes from Auckland. The course features a par of 71 and plays to 6,171 yards. Designed by renowned Canadian architect Syd Puddicombe and completed in 2004, the course is set in a forested valley surrounded by rugged ranges and native wetlands.

The course winds through native wetlands with abundant wildlife throughout, creating a visually stunning setting on almost every hole. The back nine is particularly highly regarded and is considered among the best in the country. The course is rated in the top 5 golf courses in New Zealand and has hosted numerous international events. Tee boxes are marked with indigenous New Zealand bird species including the Tui, Pukeko, Fantail, and Kiwi.

While private for members, Lakes Resort welcomes green fee players by booking in advance. The resort offers a complete recreational experience with electric cart hire, a driving range, and on-site facilities including accommodation, swimming pools, tennis courts, and a spa.
