The Greenbrier Course is a challenging, heavily-wooded layout originally designed by Seth Raynor and opened in 1924. It underwent a significant redesign by Jack Nicklaus in 1977, which enhanced its difficulty and strategic complexity. The course holds the distinction of being the only resort course to have hosted both the Ryder Cup and the Solheim Cup.

The course is notable for its historical significance, including Sam Snead's legendary 59-shot round during the 1959 Spring Festival, a rare competitive achievement. Set within the Greenbrier Resort in West Virginia, the course features dense woodlands and strategic hole designs that demand precision and skill.

Currently operating with 10 holes open for play, guests can complete either 9 or 18 holes with a bonus hole option. The layout combines Raynor's original architectural vision with Nicklaus's modern refinements, creating a test that appeals to skilled golfers seeking a challenging experience.
