The Glacier Golf Course is an 18-hole mountain course located in Sauk County, South Central Wisconsin, designed by Art Johnson. The course is carved from the glacier-formed Baraboo Bluff and presents a challenging layout with significant elevation changes throughout. The design features narrow fairways, rock outcroppings, and water hazards on seven holes, requiring strategic ball placement from golfers of all skill levels.
The course is characterized by its dramatic terrain, with stunning bluff-top views from numerous tee boxes and lush greens set against rolling hills, ponds, and wooded landscapes. At 18 holes, it serves as the longer of Devil's Head Resort's two courses, adding to its difficulty. The natural topography creates a maze-like routing with varied elevations that demand both technical skill and course management. Wildlife encounters are common during play. The course is noted for maintaining some of Wisconsin's highest-quality greens and offers a tranquil yet challenging golf experience that balances scenic beauty with competitive design.
