The Divide Golf Club, located in Matthews, North Carolina about 20 minutes southeast of Charlotte, opened in 1995 as an 18-hole course designed by John Cassell II. The course's name derives from its location spanning both Mecklenburg and Union Counties. The layout features spacious Bermuda fairways and large, renovated Diamond Zoysia greens, which resist extreme heat and provide superior putting surfaces with minimal ball marks. Water hazards come into play on several holes, adding strategic challenge throughout the course.

The course is characterized by a traditional design that ranks among Charlotte's most popular layouts. It offers moderate difficulty with risk-reward elements, particularly on the finishing hole. Recent improvements include upgraded cart paths and the addition of a Toptracer Range facility with 15 hitting areas and an outdoor event plaza. The club also features a practice facility with chipping and putting greens converted to Diamond Zoysia grass, along with lessons available through the Impact Performance Golf Learning Center. The Divide accommodates corporate outings, charity events, and private occasions.
