Olde Sycamore Golf Club is a semi-private course nestled in a mature forest of hardwoods minutes from I-485 in Charlotte, North Carolina. Opened in May 1997, it was designed by Carolina Hall of Fame architect Tom Jackson and recognized by Charlotte's Best Magazine as both the "Best New Course" and "Best Eastside Course" in the Queen City.
The course is thoughtfully routed through majestic Carolina tall pines, providing a distinctive and scenic backdrop. The fairways feature hybrid Bermuda grass, while the recently upgraded Mach 1 Bermudagrass greens are among the best in the Charlotte region. A notable design element is the use of zoysia grass around bunkers, which provides sharper definition and enhanced playability around the greens.
These turf selections and design features create exceptional playing conditions and present a rewarding challenge for golfers of all skill levels. The course's combination of natural beauty, strategic routing through tall pine forest, and modern agronomic practices make it a premier facility conveniently located minutes from Uptown Charlotte.
