The Causeway Club is a nine-hole golf course founded in 1920, located in Southwest Harbor on Mount Desert Island, Maine. Situated on the shores of Norwood Cove, the course features spectacular backdrop views of Acadia National Park, Flying Mountain, Beech Mountain, and Acadia Mountain. The layout requires players to use every club in their bag across the nine holes, making it a comprehensive short course experience. The setting includes views of Somes Sound, a seven-mile fjord, Great Harbor, and the Cranberry Islands. Access to the village of Southwest Harbor is via a classic granite causeway spanning reversing tidal falls. The scenic location offers additional entertainment from osprey and bald eagle activity. As one of Maine's best nine-hole tracks, the Causeway Club combines challenging golf with a picturesque coastal New England setting. The club also features pool and tennis facilities overlooking Somes Sound.
