Temple Newsam Golf Club is a prestigious parkland course located in Leeds, West Yorkshire, founded in 1923. The original course was designed by the renowned Alister MacKenzie, who also designed Augusta National and Alwoodley. Due to immediate popularity—with 25,000 rounds played in the first two years—a second course was opened in 1925, creating a two-course facility.

Set within beautiful parkland surroundings, the courses offer a classic MacKenzie design experience characterized by thoughtful routing and strategic bunkering typical of his work. The layout emphasizes the natural landscape features of the estate. The club welcomes both members and visitors, maintaining active competitive play through leagues and club championships.

Temple Newsam is owned and managed by Leeds City Council, making it an important public golf resource for the region. The facility includes a clubhouse, pro shop, and practice amenities. The courses remain popular with golfers of varying abilities, continuing the tradition of high-quality golf established nearly a century ago.
