The Tascosa Course is an 18-hole golf course with a par of 72 and a length of 6,538 yards. Designed by Warren D. Cantrell, the Tascosa golf course opened in 1954. The Tascosa Course is a classic parkland style layout with fairways lined by tall mature trees. The golf club's logo features barbed wire, which was invented on the Frying Pan Ranch, the historic land on which the club was founded.
The course is characterized by good service, very good conditions, and excellent fast greens with subtle breaks. The course features 21 bunkers and is traditional and straightforward with generous tree lined fairways. In May of 2010, La Paloma purchased Tascosa Country Club's assets and merged the two clubs, forming Tascosa Golf Club. Tascosa Golf Club is located in Northwest Amarillo, Texas, and is the premier golf club and residential development in the panhandle region.
