Established in 1919, Amarillo Country Club has been the premier destination for relaxation, recreation, and connection among Amarillo's business and professional community for over a century. The golf course features a beautifully designed championship 18-hole layout and was completely renovated in 2012 by five-time PGA Tour winner D.A. Weibring and renowned golf course architect Steve Wolfard. The grounds feature an impeccably maintained Parkland-style golf course—the first of its kind in the Texas Panhandle.
The course plays to a par of 71 and measures 6,937 yards. The course features tree-lined fairways, lush cool-season turf, and pristine Bentgrass greens. Tree-lined fairways, various hills, and several out-of-bounds make this a challenging course, with several par 4s over 400 yards and only three par 5s. The feature hole is No. 6, a 349-yard par 4 that requires an approach shot over a lake into a green surrounded by bunkers.
The Amarillo Country Club has been honored to host several high-profile exhibitions over the years, welcoming golfing greats Gene Sarazen, Ben Hogan, Byron Nelson, Tom Lehman, Jeff Maggert, and Ryan Palmer. Members enjoy access to an 18-hole championship golf course with world-class practice facilities, state-of-the-art fitness and wellness amenities, indoor and outdoor tennis courts, and a heated family pool.
