Taralga Golf Club is a 9-hole sand green golf course established in 1985 on Crown land. Located in rural New South Wales, the course offers magnificent views and a peaceful playing experience across its layout. The course is notable for its unique sand greens rather than traditional grass, requiring players to use a steel cross and spoon to prepare the playing surface—a distinctive feature that creates an uncommon golfing experience.

Originally closed from 2001 to 2006 due to insurance challenges, the course was reopened as "Taralga Sands" following community efforts. Significant improvements have been made through volunteer work and grants, including the addition of a clubhouse, BBQ area, machinery shed, raised tees, and new entrance. The course operates on an honesty system, welcoming casual players at an affordable rate. Notable for its relaxed, unhurried atmosphere with minimal congestion, Taralga provides players virtual solitude on the course. The club competes in annual challenges against neighboring clubs, such as the BIG-ALGA competition with Bigga Golf Club.
