Takitani Kogen Golf Park is a 14-hole, par-42 short course located in Nishihirai, Taniya-cho, Nagaoka City, Niigata Prefecture. The course is designed as a full natural grass facility that accommodates players from beginners to advanced golfers. It is notable for being the only golf course in Niigata Prefecture that offers footgolf, featuring separate cups for the activity and allowing the use of provided soccer balls. The layout consists of 14 holes, each played from a par of 3. The course features four sets of tees for each hole: Gold, Back, Regular, and Front. The total yardage varies significantly depending on the tee selection, with the longest Gold tees reaching up to 175 yards on the 13th hole, while the shortest Front tees measure as little as 74 yards on the 11th hole. Handicap ratings are assigned to each hole, ranging from 1 on the 7th hole to 14 on the 1st hole. The facility operates on a first-come, first-served basis without reservations, allowing for flexible play during its operating hours. During unmanned periods, which cover weekdays and times outside of staffed hours on weekends and holidays, players must use hand-pulled carts as two-person motorized carts are not permitted. The course is accessible via a 20-minute walk from Echigo-Taniya Station on the JR Joetsu Line or by car from the Nakanojima Mi附e or Ojiya Interchanges.
