Located in Takatsuki, Osaka, Golf Links Takatsuki eNe is a 18-hole, par-70 course situated on the floodplain of the Yodo River. Originally established in 1959 as Takatsuki Golf Club, the facility was designed by Kozo Sakashita and Junichi Yoshimura, with subsequent renovations attributed to Y’S Contour Magic. The course layout spans 5,437 yards from the blue tees, offering four distinct tee box options to accommodate varying skill levels and distances. The setting is characterized by relatively flat terrain, a rarity for the region, which facilitates walking and provides a consistent playing surface throughout the year. The course is defined by its challenging green complexes and strategic hazards. The signature 13th hole, a par-3, features a three-tiered green with a vertical drop of 2.5 meters and a depth of 45 meters, situated beyond a water hazard. Other notable holes include the 5th, which demands a thrilling approach over water, and the 18th, a home hole protected by bunkers and featuring strong undulations on a raised platform green. The 4th hole is noted for its rolling green conditions, while the 9th requires precise shot-making to navigate three cross bunkers guarding a narrow target. Maintenance standards are high, with bentgrass greens utilized during the cooler months and champion dwarf grass used during the summer. The greens are maintained at a speed of over 9 feet on the stimpmeter year-round, providing a smooth and fast putting surface. The fairways and roughs are planted with bermudagrass, ensuring consistent density and playability across all seasons. The course design emphasizes accuracy and strategy, with numerous bunkers and undulating surfaces that penalize imprecise approaches. The facility has a history of hosting a significant number of club competitions, with approximately 160 registered member tournaments held annually. It transitioned from a semi-public model to a fully public course in 1979, maintaining a tradition of accessible golf for players of all ages. The course is open to walkers and offers through-play options, reinforcing its role as a community-focused venue. The rebranding to Golf Links Takatsuki eNe in 2026 reflects a continued commitment to providing a welcoming environment for both novice and experienced golfers.
