Located in Niihama, Ehime Prefecture, Takara Golf Garden features a 18-hole short course layout with a total par of 54. The facility is designed to offer a varied experience across its two nines, with a total yardage of 1,993 yards. The course is situated with views of the Shikoku mountain range, providing a seasonal backdrop for play. The first nine holes present a mix of distances, ranging from the 61-yard third hole to the 164-yard fifth. The second hole is noted as the course's only tee shot from an elevated position, requiring players to navigate around bunkers on either side. The third hole, while the shortest on the layout, demands respect to avoid difficult outcomes, while the fourth hole requires a shot back toward the mountain range with a green that penalizes misses to the left. The back nine continues the par-3 format, featuring the course's longest hole at 160 yards, the fifth on this nine. The sixth hole on this nine presents a challenging approach with a contoured green and mounds, while the seventh requires careful placement to avoid a large bunker on the right. The eighth hole is a short but difficult par-3 with a narrow green and front bunker, making it hard to reach in one shot. The closing ninth hole requires a carry over water to secure a good score. Local rules designate white stakes as out of bounds, yellow stakes as one-stroke penalty areas, and red stakes as repair grounds. Immovable obstacles such as fences, drainage ditches, tree supports, and utility poles allow for a two-club-length drop. Players may re-drop within six inches on the through the green without moving closer to the hole. The course is equipped with LED night lighting, allowing for play after dark, and offers cart services for golf bags.
