Swellendam Golf Club is a highly-regarded nine-hole golf course ranked among South Africa's top 25 nine-hole courses. Originally designed by Ken Elkin in 1947, the par 72 course plays to a challenging standard while remaining accessible to golfers of all levels. Located in the Overberg region, the course sits elevated above the historic town of Swellendam, nestled at the foot of the majestic Langeberg Mountains, offering spectacular mountain views throughout play.

Positioned strategically along the N2 highway between Cape Town and George, the course provides both a rewarding golfing experience and a scenic destination. The layout offers a compelling mix of playability and challenge characteristic of well-designed nine-hole courses. In 2024, the course underwent significant upgrades through its Continuous Improvement Project, enhancing playability while preserving its classic design elements. Facilities include golf carts, trolleys, caddies on request, practice areas with putting green and bunker, and a clubhouse with café serving light meals. The course is open to the public seven days weekly, welcoming both local and international visitors.
