Summit Spring Golf Course (formerly known as Summit Golf Course) in Poland, ME is a public golf course that opened in 1899. Designed by Alex Findlay, Summit Golf Course measures 3926 yards from the longest tees as a 9-hole course with par 36. The course is located in the scenic countryside with a clubhouse that was part of the original Summit Springs Hotel from the early 1900's, situated in Western Maine Mountain and Lakes Region near Poland.
The course is small (9 holes) and features many sand traps but no water. Locals consider this course as one of the most scenic courses in Southern Maine because of its spectacular views of the White Mountains. At the 8th hole, there is an old burial ground, a notable feature that distinguishes the course. The unique layout is designed to test your skills while still being approachable for beginners.
Practice facilities include a driving range and putting green, ideal for sharpening your game before hitting the course, and the welcoming clubhouse features comfortable seating and refreshments to complete your day. The course has been operating continuously as a public facility for over a century, providing golf to players of all skill levels.
