Stavely Golf Course

Stavely Golf Course is a historic 9-hole course located in Stavely, Alberta, established shortly after World War I and celebrating over 100 years of operation. The course remains in its original location and serves as a central gathering place for the community.

The layout features artificial greens that enable year-round play when weather permits, offering accessibility to golfers of all skill levels. Sand traps are present on over half the holes, and the course includes irrigation for summer maintenance. The 9th hole is a notable feature, with two tee boxes—one requiring a shot over water and the other alongside it.

Stavely Golf Course accommodates beginners through experienced golfers, as well as families and community organizations. The facility is operated by a volunteer board and hosts both men's and women's leagues along with various tournaments throughout the year. The course maintains a pay-by-honor system and membership options to keep fees reasonable and accessible to the local golfing community.
