Split Rock Golf Club is an 18-hole public course located in northern Pickaway County, Ohio, approximately 25 minutes from downtown Columbus. Designed by the renowned Hurdsan-Fry team in the early 1990s, the course was developed by Glenn and Lucinda Gulick across rolling terrain.
The layout features a front nine that is relatively open, contrasting with tighter fairways on the back nine. Four sets of tees accommodate golfers of all skill levels. From the championship tees, the course plays over 6,800 yards with a slope rating of 125, providing substantial challenge for experienced players while remaining accessible for beginners.
The course is characterized by bluegrass fairways and tees, with greens noted by regulars as among the best in the area. Water hazards and sand bunkers are strategically positioned throughout. The clubhouse offers views of the course and provides amenities for post-round relaxation. Split Rock maintains a pace of play standard of 2:10 per nine holes and enforces a cart requirement with proper golf attire dress code.
