The Southern Cross Country Club is an 18-hole, par 72 golf course located in Ito, Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan. The layout spans 6,439 yards from the blue tees, offering a design that accommodates various skill levels through multiple tee box options. The course features a total of 36 holes of scoring data, with the front nine totaling par 36 and the back nine also par 36. The yardage varies significantly by tee color, ranging from 2,511 yards on the red tees to 3,335 yards on the blue tees for the front nine alone. Situated within the Southern Cross Resort, the course is set against the backdrop of Izu's expansive natural landscape. The terrain is characterized by varied fairway undulations and greens with multiple slopes, providing a strategic challenge that changes expression depending on the player's approach. Despite these challenging features, the overall layout maintains relatively low elevation changes, making it accessible for casual play as well as serious competition. The design allows the course to present different challenges based on the player's style and tee selection. Key holes include the long par-5 8th, which measures 521 yards from the blue tees, and the par-5 16th, the longest hole on the course at 558 yards from the same tees. The par-3 holes offer distinct challenges, with the 6th hole being the longest at 387 yards from the blue tees, while the 17th is the shortest at 167 yards. The course is equipped with the latest cart navigation systems to assist with course management, providing real-time distance and green shape information to players. A driving range with 15 bays and a 200-yard capacity is available for warm-ups, operating from 7:00 to 17:00 during the on-season. The facility includes an open golf lounge named "Kanarua" where players can relax before or after their round.
