Naka Izu Green Club is an 18-hole, par-72 golf course located in Reikawa, Izu City, Shizuoka Prefecture. Situated at the foot of Mount Fuji, the course is set within a vast natural landscape that offers expansive views of the mountain, the Sagami Bay, and the Suruga Bay. On clear days, the distant Alps are also visible from various points on the grounds. The layout is designed to provide a strategic challenge, featuring significant elevation changes with numerous uphill and downhill shots throughout the round. The course accommodates a wide range of players through six distinct tee grounds, named after precious stones: Sapphire, Pearl, Emerald, Gold, Topaz, and Ruby. The total yardage varies from 4,853 yards from the Ruby tees to 7,152 yards from the full-back Sapphire tees. This flexibility allows the course to serve everyone from beginners to advanced golfers, with the Sapphire tees requiring prior registration and handicap restrictions. The course rating ranges from 63.2 to 73.8 depending on the tee selection. Strategic hazards define the difficulty of the course, with water hazards and bunkers playing a critical role in scoring. The third hole, a par-4 dogleg left, features a water hazard guarding the right side of the second shot landing area. The eighth hole presents a short par-4 where a pond lies across the fairway, demanding precise tee shots. The thirteenth hole, a par-5 long hole, is lined with water on the left side from the second to the third shot, adding pressure to the approach. Bunkers are strategically placed throughout, including cross bunkers on the fifth and eighteenth holes, and guard bunkers surrounding greens on holes such as the second, fifth, and fourteenth. Notable holes include the first hole, a par-4 downhill shot offering direct views of Mount Fuji, and the fourth hole, the longest on the course at 627 yards from the back tees. This par-5 features double doglegs to the left and provides ample fairway width for dynamic shot-making. The eighteenth hole serves as a challenging finish, a par-5 downhill dogleg left with cross bunkers on the first and second shot locations and three bunkers guarding the green. The course is described as a tournament-style layout that encourages repeated play due to its strategic depth. Naka Izu Green Club has hosted competitive events, including the Shizuoka Ladies Open Golf Tournament (ART FORCE JAPAN Challenge Cup), which features professional, legends, amateur, and junior divisions. The club also hosts the Sapporo Beer Cup, a popular group tournament. The facility includes a clubhouse with traditional architectural elements, a restaurant offering views of Mount Fuji and the Southern Alps, and access to the "Amagi no Yu" hot spring baths located in the nearby mountains.
