Entrada at Snow Canyon Country Club is an 18-hole course with a par of 71 stretching 7,262 yards, designed by Johnny Miller and Fred Bliss, and built in 1996. The course covers 710 acres of beautiful southern Utah desert terrain. It was recently rated the #2 Best Course in Utah by Golf Digest. The course layout progresses through residential development and features water hazards on several holes, with the signature feature being the black lava flow. Johnny Miller designed the course with generous landing areas from the tee box and smallish greens with requisite undulations, creating an exacting second shot.
Known as "The Devil's Triangle," holes 15-17 form a three-hole loop carved through the lava flow and create a lasting impression on golfers. Notable signature holes include hole 3, which orients golfers toward views of Snow Canyon State Park and requires golfers to navigate over a water feature, hole 7, which requires strictly straight shots to avoid waterfalls that surround golfers from both sides and features a subtle dogleg, and hole 8, a long par-3 that significantly increases the challenge and has been known to puzzle even astute golfers. The course features bent grass greens and rye/blue grass fairways. The course is situated near Zion National Park in southern Utah, approximately 10 minutes from downtown St. George, providing dramatic natural vistas throughout the round.
