Shangri-La Golf Course is an 18-hole championship course designed by renowned architect Rodney Wright, located in Hambantota on Sri Lanka's southern coast. Built on the grounds of a former sapphire mine, it measures 5,584 metres at championship length with a par of 70. The course is set within a coconut palm plantation and features three distinct landscaped zones: the coconut plantation area, the sapphire mine section with abundant water features, and the dune area offering Indian Ocean views.

The layout presents a mix of challenges suitable for both casual and experienced golfers. Notable holes include "Sapphire Mine" (Hole 10), which doglegs around the original mine, "Elephant Trail" (Hole 11), the longest par-5, and "The Tempest" (Hole 17), a difficult par-4 played alongside the ocean. The course incorporates natural elements including lakes, wildlife, and elevation changes. Designed with eco-friendly principles, it uses salt-tolerant Paspalum grass and integrates the restored landscape with revitalized vegetation and reintroduced birdlife. Three tee options accommodate varying skill levels, from championship to ladies' tees.
