Eagles' Golf Links China Bay is an 18-hole, par-72 course situated on the east coast of Sri Lanka near Trincomalee Harbour. The layout spans nearly seven kilometers of undulating terrain, featuring Bermuda grass fairways and Tifdwarf greens. The course is designed to offer a challenging yet enjoyable round, with a routing that navigates through magnificent trees and varied topography. The setting is defined by its proximity to the sea, with the course overlooking Clappenberg Bay and Malay Cove. Views of sparkling waters, bays, and coves are integral to the playing experience. The location is approximately a 15-minute drive from Marble Beach. The climate is generally warm to hot year-round, though the North-East Monsoon brings common afternoon showers from November to February. The course presents specific challenges, such as the first hole, which requires a drive from an elevated tee in front of the clubhouse onto a broad fairway. This hole demands precision to avoid a group of trees on the left, with the elevated green guarded by two bunkers on the right. The design incorporates elevated tees and greens throughout, requiring careful club selection to navigate the undulating landscape. The facility serves a dual purpose beyond recreation, supporting the seamless integration of service personnel into the social fabric upon retirement. Proceeds from the course are utilized for the benevolence of Sri Lanka Air Force personnel and their family members.
