Shadow Hills Golf Course ☆ Follow

Shadow Hills is an 18-hole, 72-par, premier golfing facility in Lubbock, Texas. Originally opened in the early 1980s and designed by Ray Kilgore, Shadow Hills was renovated in 1995. The course features 6,777 yards of golf from the longest tees with a course rating of 71.2 and slope rating of 113.

Shadow Hills is a flat, fun course with undulating and mounded fairways of a links-style layout, with a few streams and ponds spicing up the round but lacking trees to make it wide open. Notable holes on the front include No. 4 with its elevated, sloping green; No. 6 at 123 yards over water; and the long, par 4 No. 7 that plays uphill with water on the right. On the back, No. 10 plays downwind with a wide-open fairway, while No. 11 is a tough par 5 loaded with water.

The course recently opened a new 4,500-square-foot clubhouse with a fully stocked pro shop, full service grill, and tournament room. Shadow Hills is home to Birdies where golfers can grab drinks and snacks at the turn and after their round.
