Reese Golf Center is an 18-hole, par 72 course designed by George Williams, ASGCA, that opened in 1997. Located on the former Reese Air Force Base west of Lubbock, the facility is now a center for research, education, and aviation that includes the 6,633-yard golf course. The course has a rating of 69.9 and a slope rating of 120 on Bermuda grass.

Wind is a defining characteristic of play at Reese, with the prevailing winds making virtually every shot seem into the wind, and hole No. 4, a 406-yard par 4, plays like a par 5 when conditions are windy. The course features a diverse layout with wide fairways, doglegs and strategically placed bunkers. Reese is the only course in town with state-of-the-art GPS tracking systems on all golf carts.

The course is adding trees to improve playability, and provides amenities including a driving range and practice facilities. One paid green fee allows players to play all day. The course welcomes public play year-round and serves as a venue for regular tournaments and organized golf events.
