The Sengoku Golf Course, operated by the Fujiya Hotel, is located in Hakone, Kanagawa Prefecture, at an elevation of 700 meters. Opened in 1917 as a public course, it holds the distinction of being the second-oldest public golf course in Japan and the first in the eastern part of the country. The course is situated in the natural landscape of the Sengoku-hara plateau, where players experience cool winds and a refreshing atmosphere. The layout consists of 18 holes with a par of 72 and a total length of 6,651 yards. The design leverages the natural terrain of the Hakone and Sengoku-hara areas, featuring minimal elevation changes and moderate undulations that create a strategic playing experience. The course is characterized by its relatively flat profile compared to many mountain courses, allowing for a smooth round while still demanding precision. A notable feature of the facility is the practice area, which offers a 300-yard downhill shot and includes dedicated bunkers and approach practice zones. The clubhouse restaurant provides views of the surrounding nature, and the course hosts various events, including the 11th U22 Golf Championship. The facility is accessible approximately 15 minutes from the Tomei Expressway Gotemba Interchange.
