Founded in 1907, Scrabo Golf Club is situated 500 feet above sea level overlooking Strangford Lough near Newtownards, County Down, Northern Ireland. The course comprises eighteen holes spanning 6,227 yards with a par of 71. Set beneath the iconic Scrabo Tower, a memorial landmark offering panoramic views across the Ards Peninsula, Strangford Lough, and the Mourne Mountains—with Scotland and the Isle of Man visible on clear days.
The course is renowned for its links-style design featuring gorse-bordered fairways that demand accurate driving. The opening par-4 hole at 424 metres has been praised as one of the finest opening holes in Irish golf.
