Saga Country Club Start Room

Saga Country Club is an 18-hole championship course located in Miyaki Town, Saga Prefecture, featuring two nines with a par 72 layout. The OUT course plays to 3,431 yards (back tees) with a par 36, while the IN course measures 3,317 yards, also par 36.

The course presents a challenging design characterized by strategic use of doglegs, bunkers, and out-of-bounds areas throughout. Notable features include several elevation changes, with both uphill and downhill holes creating varied demands. Pine trees line many fairways, adding definition and hazard elements. The par-3 holes (4, 7, 11, and 14) range from 152 to 221 yards and feature distinctive characteristics—one notably resembles an inverted bowl with surrounding bunkers and slopes.

Key holes include the longest par-5 on the back nine (hole 9, 561 yards) and multiple doglegs requiring precise tee placement. Water hazards appear on the IN course, particularly around holes 12 and 18. The course demands accurate distance control, as numerous elevated greens and severe slopes around putting surfaces penalize wayward approaches. Strategic bunkering at approximately 150-250 yards from tees provides additional challenge for various skill levels.
