Royal Oak

Royal Oak is an 18-hole golf course located in Jels, South Denmark, near Haderslev and Kolding. The course features two distinct nine-hole loops with contrasting characteristics and settings. Holes 1-9 border Jels Nedersø lake, offering scenic water views from several holes, while holes 10-18 are positioned in a forested area. Both loops feature greens constructed to American USGA standards, making them among Denmark's first courses built to this specification.

Holes 1-9 present challenging, undulating fairways demanding precision from tee to green, with hole 7 serving as a signature hole requiring a second shot directly toward the water. Holes 10-18 emphasize accurate tee shots, with strategically placed bunkers coming into play off the tee. The two par-3 holes on holes 10 and 14 present particular difficulty. The course maintains excellent conditions year-round using TORO automatic irrigation systems. Royal Oak accommodates players of all skill levels and offers instruction for beginners and juniors alongside a clubhouse restaurant and additional recreational facilities including minigolf and padel courts.
