Royal Golf Club du Château d'Ardenne is situated on grounds belonging to the Royal Donation near Dinant in southern Belgium. The course was inaugurated in 1895 within the Château d'Ardenne park, originally constructed by King Léopold II between 1874 and 1891. The clubhouse is housed in the historic Léopold Tower, built in 1878, offering panoramic views over the Lesse Valley countryside.

The course evolved from its original 9 holes to 12, finally reaching its current 18-hole layout completed in 1992. Following World War II restoration in 1950 by Baron Gaston Braun, the course has developed into one of Belgium's finest. The naturally rolling terrain is bordered by century-old trees, including rare species, providing scenic vistas of the surrounding landscape.

The club holds significant royal heritage, with multiple members of the Belgian royal family having played the course throughout its history. Beyond golf, the property features historical elements including the Léopold Tower, a 19th-century open-air theatre, a chapel, and ornamental porphyry features. The course represents a unique blend of sporting excellence and historical significance within an exceptional setting.
