Royal Bang Pa-In Golf Club is an 18-hole, par-72 championship course located in Ayutthaya Province, approximately 45 minutes north of Bangkok. Opened in January 2017, it was designed by Schmidt-Curley Design and built across 100 hectares of former marshland and rice paddies, measuring 7,052 yards from the back tees with multiple tee options down to 5,028 yards.
The course is notable for some of the largest greens in Asia, planted with Champion ultra-dwarf Bermuda grass to produce fast, severely undulating putting surfaces that demand strong green reading. Fairways are grassed with Paspalum turf and play firm, promoting good distance, while thick sticky rough places a premium on accuracy. Despite the largely flat terrain, the designers incorporated elevation changes of up to seven metres through extensive mounding, creating visual separation between holes and a number of blind approach shots into bunker-protected greens.
Water features on all 18 holes and becomes genuinely penal from the 9th hole onwards. The par-3 14th plays to an island green, the 16th combines water, sand, and an undulating green as the designated signature hole, and the opening hole presents an immediate risk-reward challenge with water flanking the entire right side. Square tee boxes and distinctive square rescue bunkers are characteristic design details throughout. No notable professional tournament history is on record for the venue.
