Ørnefjell Golfbane is a 9-hole high-mountain course located in Bykle kommune, Agder, Norway, situated at an elevation of 725 meters above sea level. The course was built in 2001 and is set amidst high mountains and abundant water features. It features a total par of 68, comprising one par 5, five par 4s, and three par 3s. The layout includes 18 different teeing grounds, allowing for varied routing and two distinct 9-hole loops. The course is known for its challenging nature, characterized by narrow fairways, fast greens, and water hazards that come into play frequently. To address the difficult growing conditions at this altitude, Ørnefjell became the first golf course in Norway to install artificial turf on all its greens, a project completed in June 2007 with significant volunteer effort. The course also features a driving range and a putting green. Historically, the idea for the course emerged during the construction of the Vatnedammen reservoir in the early 1980s. Although an initial plan for an 18-hole course was not realized, the 9-hole layout was approved by the Bykle municipal council in record time in April 2001. Construction began shortly after, with the course opening for general play in June 2003 and officially inaugurated in September 2003. Recent upgrades include the installation of automatic irrigation systems on all holes, completed in late 2025, and the addition of artificial turf tees in 2019 to improve playability.
