Sauda Golfklubb

Sauda Golfklubb is a 9-hole forest course located three kilometers from Sauda town center, situated in scenic surroundings along Saudasjøen lake at the innermost part of Ryfylkefjorden. The course opened in 2008 and features a self-service model, though advance booking of tee times is recommended through Golfbox.

The course is characterized by its natural woodland setting with views of the surrounding fjord landscape. As a 9-hole layout, it offers an accessible format for golfers of varying skill levels. The course hosts several annual tournaments including the Fyrsvingen Cup (a match-play competition between local teams), Sauda Open, and the Eramet Invitational, indicating an active competitive calendar. Notable features include the Eagle Nest challenge tee, positioned 120 meters above the course, which provides elevated views and serves as the starting point for special tournament competitions.

The course emphasizes course maintenance and requests players to avoid play during frozen ground conditions. It maintains tournament records and has recorded notable scores in recent competitions, demonstrating reasonable difficulty standards for a 9-hole forest course in western Norway.
