Raspberry Falls Golf & Hunt Club is located in Leesburg, Virginia, situated in Virginia's horse country, with vistas of the Catoctin Mountains in the background. The course was designed by Gary Player Design and opened in 1996. The layout is a 7,191-yard, par-72 championship course that rambles through what was historically known as "Raspberry Plain," a fertile 18th-century plantation.
Player employed a links style design to utilize the course's dramatic rolling terrain, meandering streams and scenic vistas. The course features elevated tee boxes and lush bentgrass greens, with deep Scottish-style stacked pot bunkers presenting one of the biggest challenges. Notable named bunkers include "Lee's Bunker" and "Grant's Tomb" on hole 11, and "Satan's Foxhole" on hole 14.
From the beginning, Raspberry Falls has been showered with awards, including being named one of the Top 10 Courses in Virginia. It became one of the most popular daily-fee courses in the Washington D.C. area.
